How to Get Rid of Toxins in the Body in Inexpensive Ways

Updated on February 27, 2012

I wasn’t conscious about getting rid of toxins from my body not until I attended a seminar on natural remedies where the speaker has spent three decades teaching people how to prevent illness and be disease-free, after surviving thyroid cancer using natural remedy.

In order to maintain good health, she advocated the need to flush toxins or toxic wastes from our bodies on a daily basis. Why? Toxic wastes are present because of eating junk food, intake of medications for extended periods of time, presence of parasites and exposures to pollutants which we may have taken orally or absorbed by our sense organs.

I was in disbelief. Toxic wastes in time can bring about serious illnesses like arthritis, diabetes, heart problems, Alzheimer’s, depression, cancer and other degenerative disorders. Goodness! I never knew it was that serious.

My baffled mind had to ask. But our body is designed to excrete wastes right? Does it not do that?

The questions came back at me. How regularly do you excrete stool? Do you experience chronic constipation? Irregular bowel movement means poor elimination of toxic wastes that may be in your body.

I gasped. Sssh, this is just between you and me. There have been moments when I would excrete tiny, hard stools. I didn’t need to be convinced twice. I listened to the ways I can flush out toxins...intently!

Important Reminders for Flushing

Do flushing upon waking up, first thing in the morning. First thing means first thing. No coffee yet. Not even brushing your teeth. It also means you haven’t eaten breakfast!

This is important:

  • Flush on an empty stomach!
  • Drinking water for flushing should not be cold.

And then wait an hour before you take your breakfast. She believes this is enough to detoxify the bowel, liver and also your kidneys for the day.

Here are four practical ways that effectively help you get rid of toxins in inexpensive ways.

Lemons are good for you!

Buy local fruits

This is how our local lemon or lime looks like. I drink this formula if we could have a supply of lime.

FORMULA NUMBER 1

Prepare the following:

  • four glasses of drinking water
  • 1 fresh lemon or lime (cut into 4 pieces)

Pick one slice of lemon or lime into each of the four glasses of drinking water. Drink one glass of lime water slowly. Pick lemons that are fresh and organic. Did you know that lemon is alkaline? Okay, the first time I heard about this, I frowned. I also thought that it is sour and acidic and will be harmful to my stomach esp. taking it on an empty stomach! But in reality lemon has alkaline effect when it is absorbed in our bodies.

Also, there are so many benefits of lemon. It has vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 and C and helps build defenses against infection.

Remember this shouldn't be lemonade. So no sugar, no honey and the like! It should just be lime and water. That's it! That sounds so simple right?

FORMULA NUMBER 2

Prepare the following:

  • Four glasses of drinking water
  • 2-3 drops of apple cider vinegar

Add two to three drops of apple cider vinegar into each glass of water. If you are unable to find lemon, which is unlikely, apple cider vinegar can be used as a substitute for lime or lemon. Of course, you can buy this in local supermarkets. Like lime or lemon, it is also acidic but if it is absorbed into the body, it has alkaline effect.

Important note: Apple cider vinegar cannot be taken for prolonged periods of time, making your body lose calcium. So just take this formula for about a month and then use the other formulas!

FORMULA NUMBER 3

  • Drink four glasses of alkalinized water

Due to increase awareness of health practices nowadays, there are already alkalinized water available in the market. There are also alkaline capsules that are sold. But this is one of the formulas that I rarely use though. Drinking alkaline water is one way to improve your immune system.

I prepare one liter of drinking water in my room so I could drink it first thing in the morning.

FORMULA NUMBER 4

The last but definitely not the least is:

  • Drink four glasses of plain drinking water

Sounds so simple? It is simple.

So I tried it out. The first time I tried this, I couldn't ingest four glasses of water in the morning. And if I woke up late, I had to skip this regimen lest i have to miss breakfast. I love my breakfast too much.

Then I move on from one glass to two to three. I slowly noticed that my bowel movement had become easier. In fact after fifteen minutes, I would find myself rushing to the rest room and expel all the toxic wastes from my body. I tell you, expelling toxins from my body made me feel good! Really light on the tummy area too.

Some of my friends started trying it too. One used the apple cider vinegar formula, the others our local lime, the others alkaline water or plain water, the effect was the same- regular bowel movement!

With that shared, the only thing to do is to try it out yourself. Actually, there are other ways to remove toxins such as detox regimens, having sweat baths and saunas, doing colon cleanse or exercise.

With all these options at hand, all it takes is making the choice to daily cleanse or flush toxins from your body. Make it part of your lifestyle. And do this for the rest of your life.

Choose to be healthy. Blessings.
