Romantic Gifts for Her: Valentines Day Gift Ideas
74Trying to think of romantic gifts for her can sometimes be a daunting thing. But if you want to keep the fires burning in your relationship allow romance back into your life. This list of Valentine’s Day gift ideas is romantic and fun. Don’t limit yourself. Rekindle the romance not just on Valentines Day but all through out the year.
But this is not just for the men. To all the wonderful, romantic women out there, you are very much welcome to initiate the following ideas as much as the men.
“You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly.”—Sam Keen
"I would rather have had one breath of her hair, one kiss from her mouth, one touch of her hand, than eternity without it."—from the movie, City of Angels
The Gift of Touch
The sweet caress of your fingertips or the gentle, sensual loving touch can do wonders to ignite romance in a relationship. If your partner’s primary love language is TOUCH then pamper her/him with a body massage. Transform your bedroom into a soothing sanctuary with cozy and dim lights, soft music playing softly in the background bring out the champagne or wine, massage oil, scented candles or oil, scatter rose petals on the floor.
An alternative to body massage would be a foot massage, or taking a bath in a tub while you soap each other. And if you have the budget, you could also book a SPA weekend getaway for couples
where the two of you can enjoy the massage together and have a relaxing and
soothing weekend.
The important thing to remember is that the language of touch speaks eloquently how you feel towards your partner. He/she will feel the passion, tenderness, love and desire through your touch. All of us desire to be desired right? And this gift will create wonderful loving moments of boding in your intimate moments.

The Gift of Words or Song
"I love that you get cold when it's seventy degrees out. I love that it takes you an hour and a half to order a sandwich. I love that you get a little crinkle above your nose when you're looking at me like I'm nuts. I love that after I spend a day with you I can still smell your perfume on my clothes, and I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night." --from the movie, When Harry Met Sally
Love words stroke our hearts and re-awaken romance and love. If your partner’s love language is WORDS OF AFFIRMATION then choose from among these romantic ideas: Choose a romantic card that will speak best of your relationship. Tell her a poem. Sing a song for her. If you know how to compose a song, then compose one for your loved one. Tell each other how much you mean to each other. What you like best about the other and what you are grateful for. Write your message in a bottle. Of course, you have to choose where to do this. You can opt to have a candlelight dinner or in the warmth of your bedroom or your favorite romantic place.
Love needs to be expressed and every now and then we need to hear how much we are loved and why.
The Gift of Acts of Service
Surprise your partner with simple acts of service like breakfast in bed or concocting something special for dinner or telling her/him that I would like to give you a day off. I’m taking charge of this and that for the day. If the love language of your loved one is ACTS OF SERVICE, he/she will definitely feel so loved.
A friend recounted to me once that her husband’s love language is acts of service. I noticed he would vacuum our room or wash the dishes because I didn’t want to. So one day, I decided to do this for him. I could see the look of surprise in his face. It made me feel really pleased and happy.
May it be chores or doing little stuff like opening the car door for you, notice it and tell him/her how much you appreciate it will go a long way.
The Gift of Gifts
Some mates treasure gifts as expressions of love. You have to know your partner well enough to know what they want and take time to buy the thing she/he wants the most. A lover of shoes will be ecstatic to receive this gift from you just as a flower lover would love flowers or chocolates for the chocolate lover.
There are a million of gifts to choose from. The important thing is you know what your spouse/girlfriend/boyfriend wants. If you choose the right thing, chances are they will be over the moon on valentines day!

Very nice, coming from the language of love. A great gift to know and recognize their language and speak it to them as you have suggested so well. Awesome ideas of ways to express and give the gift of love on Valentines Day!
Nice hub. My husband and I always exchange home made cards, no gifts...but I'll take a massage anyday.
Beautiful ideas! I am thinking of creating a flash show for Phil of our times together. We generally don't exchange gifts, except for maybe chocolates or a plush animal, as Valentine's is really a time of just being thoughtful with one another as your Hub suggests.
Thanks for sharing these ideas. This year will be double celebration as it falls on Lunar New Year 2010.
Love those spa gifts. Hey ripplemaker, where can we find these here in the country? :( Or better yet, I'd book a spa massage for my husband and me :).
A wonderful hub indeed. That's what i was looking for.
Some great ideas for Valentine's Day, ripplemaker. Shows that you don't have to spend a lot of money to show your love for somebody.
Hello Michelle, I like the way you considered the love language in the gift giving act. This is the area where most people fail to consider. It brings out a different flavor to the chosen gift and makes it more relevant for the partners. It actually allows the giver to be more sensitive to the partner and put the receiver in a more satisfying and grateful state. Hat off and thumbs up for a great slant on the topic. Blessings and Happy Valentine's Day! Hugs:)
Great ideas!! Thanks for the help...
Jeremy
Excellent hub. I have hub coming soon about loving but I'm going to have to link yours so that other can see it. Great job. Peace
Nice gift ideas for her. Awesome!
Hey ripplemaker, very simple and heartwarming gift ideas...I can see how they can make our special someone really special. Now, I had to revise my hub on Valentine's day and include this hub in a link. I somehow missed it.
Best regards,
Papa Sez
Some very good ideas. I've decided this year to write the wife a poem—nothing elaborate, but it's from the heart and that's what matters. :)
Hy ripplemaker, some very wonderful and thoughtful ideas here! The gift of gifting is nice! I am planning something very romantic for my belle on Valentine's day. Some nice ideas here! I love the idea for the Spa weekend away, and getting pampered and spoiled! Mmmmmh! I'm there already! : )

Love it Ripplemaker. Not too many people (writing for affiliate income anyway!) would have the courage to say that Valentine's Day can be more about service and being creative than about purchasing items. Thanks for the ideas, I'm going to give some of these to my wife.

Those are some great ideas. I think i would cook a nice meal for my Valentine too. Getting into the kitchen is something i have not been doing too much lately.
What a beautifully written hub. Gifts from the heart are always the best gifts. Love your ideas, simple, elegant pleasures from the heart.
Wow, I can't believe I missed this beautiful hub when the hubmob worked on the Valentine hubs. Well, I'm hear now and I'm rating this one up. Great ideas and products for that special lady. Personally, I like the idea of receiving special acts of service in addition to receiving a gift. I know call me greedy, LOL!:) Thanks for sharing :)
My gift of touch is awaiting you in Ireland ; )
It was wonderful gift. I also want to touch you when you closed to me...ha.ha.ha. Don't worry, just kidding!
You are certainly popular, Ripplemaker, and this is a great theme, meanwhile my computer designed art, one or more especially for you, according to your choice awaits you.

How really nice ... :-)

ripplemaker, thanks for such a nice collection of ideas- I like your distinction between "things" and "acts", we often forget about the latter!
I really like that in this sense, Gift does not just imply throwing money at a lover. When I was single I hated valentines day and thought it was a sorry excuse for couples to waste money on each other. But now that I have been in a wonderful relationship for the past four months I see how MORE amazing these gifts that don't break the bank are. Sometimes the greatest gift is an action-gift not a money gift.
Interesting article you have in here, ripple maker. Thanks for this wonderful and colorful selections of photos. You really made lots of points that really fascinated me.
This was interesting, great pictures, great gifts,
Hi there, I really like your gift idea about "The Gift of Words or Song". If I am the receiver of that gift I can truly appreciate the one who will give this to me, because when writing down a song it includes the feeling and emotions of the writer that is why it is very romantic for me. Thank for the great idea.
A great Hub thank you. Only six more sleeps to go, love is in the air :-)
